FIELD TRIP
DESTINATION
Hongu Sabo Dam
Erosion contorol dam which boasts the largest sediment storage capacity in Japan
Tateyama Caldera Sabo Museum
Tateyama Caldera is one of the leading major landside sites in Japan. A vast amout of landside sediment left in the Tateyama Caldera had repeatedly caused landside disaster along the Jogan River. You can experience stories of "the nature and history of Tateyama Caldera" and "Sabo (erosion contorol)" at the museum.
