Improvement of the measurement system for fluid flow electromagnetic method

Abstract
We have developed four-dimensional geoelectromagnetic method named Fluid Flow Electromagnetic Method. Measuring stations for the method covering a survey area having sufficiently high density are necessary for accurate estimation of the behavior of resource fluids, such as petroleum or geothermal fluid. We are developing the measurement system which measures changes of the electromagnetic field caused by fluid flow behavior at all stations simultaneously. We have developed the low-cost monitoring stations with latest cheap and high performance devices. The developed station measures two electric and three magnetic field components. Very sensitive tri-axial MI sensor is applied to measure the variations in a magnetic field. The measurements are stored into the USB flash memory and are transmitted through the low-power long-range wireless sensor network on 920MHz frequency band from each monitoring stations to the survey base.
