A Demonstration experiment of the SIP method in a waste disposal site

Abstract
The SIP method that measures complex resistivity (resistivity and phase difference) for every frequency is one of IP methods. This method can acquire more information on subsurface electrical properties as compared with conventional IP method. If we can analyze and interpret the frequency dependence of these data in a quantitative way, we can obtain more detailed information on the underground structure. Therefore the SIP method is expected to be used for evaluation of stabilization of waste disposal site and identification of metal deposit type. We have studied the measurement method of acquiring highly precise SIP data effectively, and the analysis method of obtaining a detailed subsurface structure. This time, we carried out various kinds of experiment in a waste disposal site.
