Application of ground deformation analysis technique to disaster prevention by InSAR time series analysis

Abstract
The aim of this study is to evaluate the capability of InSAR analysis for monitoring around the disaster area from the results of InSAR analysis. We perform DInSAR (differential InSAR) analysis and InSAR time-series analysis using ALOS/PALSAR data and commercial software in order to investigate slight displacement around disaster areas of Miyazaki, Hiroshima and Nara in Japan. The data used in this study observed from 2007 to 2011. The results show that InSAR analysis in these areas is useful for the extraction of ground surface deformation, and it suggests a possibility of the prior monitoring of disaster.
