Investigation on a wave interference identified by data in dense measurements of train-induced ground vibrations


Abstract
To identify a wave interference of train-induced ground vibrations radiated from bridge piers, in this study, we observed train-induced ground vibrations in dense arrays on ground under bridge piers. The vibrations for the orthogonal direction across bridge piers were strengthened. Therefore, we pointed out a wave interference for reverse phase of train-induced ground vibrations. We, finally, confirmed the wave interference for reverse phase by the simple theoretical condition to inputting site parameters.
