Re-processing of Downhole PS logging data at PWRI and evaliation of the accuracy of seimic velocity.

Abstract
We conducted the down-hole PS logging data acquired inside PWRI in 1987, and evaluate the accuracy of determined seismic velocity. PS logging is effective method to obtain one dimensional accurate seismic velocity structures along a borehole. However, it is rare to consider the accuracy of seismic velocity accuracy by PS logging. In this study, we show the method for estimation of errors of determined seismic velocity, and method to secure a quality of PS logging. By using this method, we confirm that the velocity structures acquired by re-processing are high quality and accord with Suspension PS logging result. From this, we make sure that we are able to secure the quality of PS logging velocity result even if old data.
