Launching of the best oral and poster presentation awards

The Proceedings Committee of the SEGJ is going to launch the best oral and poster presentation awards at annual conferences from the 114th Annual (2006 Spring) Conference which will be held from May 8 to 10, 2006 at Waseda Univ. in Tokyo.
The oral and poster presentations, given by SEGJ personal members equal to or younger than forty years old will be judged by session chair persons during the conferences. The awards will be given by the Proceedings Committee with announcements on the journal of the SEGJ, Butsuri-Tansa (Geophysical Exploration) and website, and also with delivering certificates after the conferences.
On the other hand, the special prizes for student papers at conferences will be discontinued from the 115th Annual (2006 Fall) Conference.
