In order to assess the feasibility of the electrical resistivity tomography to the evaluation of CO2 geological sequestration, both field data simulation and inversion are carried out for a simplified saline aquifer model. The results of the study have shown that the change ratios of resistivity correspond to the CO2 injected range and behavior of the saline aquifer, and that the electrical resistivity tomography is very effective as a monitoring technique for evaluation CO2 geological sequestration.
