電磁法による不発弾探査の基礎実験

不発弾とそれ以外の金属廃棄物との識別可能性を検討するため,電磁探査を用いた水中および陸上での基礎実験を実施した.水中と空中での比較実験では,電磁アノマリーの大きさが多少異なるが,その周波数応答のパターンは同じであることがわかった.また陸上実験では,模擬不発弾やその他の金属廃棄物はそれぞれ固有の電磁アノマリーの周波数応答を持つことがわかり,これを利用すれば不発弾とそれ以外の識別がある程度可能であることがわかった.

講演要旨(英文)
In order to investigate the electromagnetic response of UXO, series of experimental surveys using GEM-3 were carried out. At first, comparative experiments in seawater and air using a water tank were carried out in order to assess how the media influences the response characteristics. It turned out that the both patterns of electromagnetic response were basically similar though slightly different signal strength. Then onshore experiments were carried out to assess the electromagnetic response on various metal objects in positions, including UXOs. Each categorically unique type of metal object reveals an intrinsic spectrum pattern of electromagnetic response. It suggests that this technique will be useful in detecting UXO once the target spectrum pattern is known.
