Kaolin mining is secondly important following limestone mineral in Korea. Most of shallow ores are already mined, therefore we need to know deeply hidden (usually more than 10 m) ore information by nondestructive technique for the minimization of environmental problems. Useful geophysical results in several fields are discussed. The 3-D electrical resistivity structure shows clearly the depth of base rock boundary, and the 3-axis borehole magnetic measurements are co-related with the ferrous content. But the IP responses are not always co-related to high-grade kaolin minerals in cases of both exploration results and in-situ physical property measurements. Further study will be focused on spectral IP response including some interpretation using Cole-Cole model.
