Subsurface structural survey and seismic data analysis in Shin-Nagamachi, Sendai

Abstract
To understand subsurface structure from shallow to deep parts at the railway seismic station located in Shin-Nagamachi, Sendai, we performed array measurements of microtremors with a radius of several tens to several hundreds of meters. As a result, Rayleigh wave phase velocities of 400 to 3,000 m/s were obtained, and a seismic bed rock with Vs 3,000 m/s or more at a depth of about 600 m was estimated in the inversion analysis. We, also, verified the applicability of the method for estimating S-waves from P-waves using the on-site P-wave EEW technique.
