Self-potential on the trails at Akita-Komagatake volcano

Abstract
SP surveys were carried out along the mountain trails of Akita-Komagatake volcanoin the autumn season in 2019. Within the area including the northern and southern calderas at Akita-Komagatake volcano, we collected SP data on almost all trailsat the spatial interval of about 50 m. Collecting data is with copper-copper sulfate electrodes, metal cable and digital multi-meter. The methods collecting data are with both of leap-frog method and total potential method. The total number of survey sites is over 400. After correction and combining the acquired data we delineated color contour of SP. Positive SP anomaly can be seen around the summit of Onamedake. The cause of the anomaly is not clear at present but the activity of active volcano might influence to SP anomaly. On the other hand, negative SP anomaly is at scoria area called Oyakesuna. We guess cause of this negative anomaly is due to infiltration of rainwater.
