| Abstract | We investigate the applicability of the fiber optic sensors to detect faults and fractures in the vicinity of the well. Overnight monitoring of borehole temperature and vibration were conducted using DTS and DAS, simultaneously. 3-D DAS-VSP survey was also applied so that velocity distribution and reflection seismic volume can be obtained. The results were compared with the surface seismic profiling (SSP) to confirm both benefits and disadvantages of the technologies, respectively. |
