| | Abstract | | To evaluate vibration characteristics of high-rise buildings, we performed a multi-channel microtoremor measurement for J2 building in Suzukakedai Campus, Tokyo Tech, located in the south-west part of Kanto basin. We evaluated the vibration mode and the dominant frequency of this building, by picking peaks of spectral ratios of Fourier spectra on the floors of building to those on the free-field. We also evaluated damping factor, by fitting the spectral ratio calculated using one degree of freedom system to the spectral ratios observed in the process of trial and error. |
