1-D inversion of TEM data considering IP effect

Abstract
In order to analyze TEM data which includes IP effect, we developed a 1-D forward program to calculate apparent resistivity using Brent method which is a kind of nonlinear solver. The program can handle the Cole-Cole parameters which are chargeability, time constant and frequency exponent. A new parameter called polarity which represents the positive/negative sign of apparent resistivity for IP effect was incorporated. We also developed a 1-D inversion program to estimate resistivity and the Cole-Cole parameters simultaneously. Some examples of 1-D TEM simulation were presented in this paper. Additionally, an example of 1-D TEM inversion was presented.
