High-density underground structure exploration between Oiwake K-NET and KiK-net strong motion seismic stations

Abstract
During the 2018 Hokkaido eastern Iburi earthquake, large peak ground acceleration was observed at the strong motion station IBUH01 and HKD127 at Oiwake district in Hayakita town, Hokkaido. These two stations are located only about 100 m distance in the same site, however, the feature of the response spectrum has large difference. This difference was caused by difference of the shallow underground velocity structure. We tried to grasp the variety of underground structure between these two stations using multi-channel surface wave method and microtremor observation. The detected soft soil deposit depth of IBUH01 is deeper than the one of HKD127.
