| Abstract | In the numerical analysis of the electromagnetic survey method, 1D forward modeling is important for (1) calculation of background structure response for 3D modeling and (2) response calculation for inversion. Recently, Python has been frequently used in numerical calculation due to its versatility, readability, and the number of libraries. In this research, I aimed to develop a numerical calculation library for the electromagnetic survey method, which is easy to use, expand, and incorporate. Specifically, I developed a forward analysis library for horizontal multilayered structure "em1dpy" with Python and verified the accuracy by using analytical solutions under various conditions. This library is excellent in terms of expansion and portability according to the application, because it is open source and an object-oriented program. In short, this library enables the efficient simulation of exploration-specific examination, incorporation into the inverse analysis method, and construction of an optimal forward analysis method according to the purpose. |
