Development of portable low-cost earthquake/microtremor observation system.

Abstract
Earthquake ground motion is influenced by subsurface structure, especially shallow structure. As a method to efficiently estimate the S-wave velocity structure, microtremor array survey has attracted attension and been conducted in various parts of Japan. Furthermore, it is considered that it is necessary to tune the S-wave velocity structure model by estimated by microtremor array survey from the viewpoint of earthquake ground motion characteristics. Therefore, we developped the portable low-cost earthquake/microtremor observation system as a tool for efficiently carrying out strong motion observation at multiple points. In order to confirm the frequency characteristics up to a long period, a vibration test using a small vibration table was performed. In addition, comparison with record using acceleration sensor and long-period velocity seismometer was performed, and it was confirmed that the earthquake ground motion up to period of about 5s can be measured accurately.
