| Abstract | I tried to apply two techniques, a water level analysis and a vertical array analysis, to evaluate robustly site responses on S-wave part vertical ground motion. The water level analysis gives modified theoretical spectral ratios (transfer functions) with spectral troughs filled to a level. The array analysis estimates pure S wave from vertical array records with theoretical transfer functions by using least-squares method. I estimated site responses and bedrock waves of Hamaoka 3G1 vertical array site. Although the result of an ordinal single station analysis was distorted by noises, the noise was reduced by the water level analysis. The array analysis well recovered the observed accelerations and estimated the bedrock waves reasonably. |
