| Abstract | The drift correction, one of the corrections of gravity data, has been improved for the precise gravity monitoring such as estimation of the change in underground situations associated with geothermal power generation. The features of the new drift correction are (1) averaging all measured values to estimate the gravity value, (2) weighting with the number of measurements and standard deviation, (3) estimating the drift by a spline curve and (4) correcting the disturbance that occurs when the Scintrex gravimeter is left at rest or moved. This new drift correction method is applied to the calibration of the gravimeter at Tsukuba Mountain. The result shows that the non-linear drift at the time of continuous measurement and calibration route measurement can be estimated almost accurately. In the future, it will be necessary to increase the number of applications of this correction to verify its accuracy, and estimate the cause of positive disturbance. |
