Seismic Time-lapse for temporal changes in the supercritical water reservoir

Abstract
We propose the seismic system to image the supercritical water zone. The seismic system comprises downhole seismic source, the optical fiber DAS in the borehole and full-waveform inversion method. To image the supercritical water reservoir, we will use backpropagation method like time reversal method. We use the seismic (full-wave inversion) technology to know the physical properties of supercritical zone and location and shapes and monitor their temporal change. In this approach, the DAS receiver array behaves as a dense seismic source array for imaging of supercritical water reservoirs. The combination of stable downhole seismic source, DAS technology and full-wave inversion could give new feature to the geothermal exploration on the supercritical water development. The seismic interferometry technique could assist to imaging of temporal change of reservoirs. If we obtain information of physical property change during the drilling, we could the most appropriate decision for the next stop.
