Development of Grounded electrical source airborne transient electromagnetics(GREATEM) system using Multicopter

Abstract
In the near future, it's expected to use a multicopter for geophysical exploration. We have already developed GREATEM(Grounded electrical source airborne transient electromagnetics) and PTD (Portable time-domain)View system. This time, we developed a compact and lightweight airborne electromagnetic exploration instrument(M-GREATEM) using a multicopter by applying this technology. As verification experiments of M-GREATEM, about similar measuring lines, data of M-GREATEM was analyzed by 1 dimension and data of High-density electrical prospecting was analyzed by 2 dimension. In this study, we compared and examined the resistivity structures which were analyzed by both methods. The result comfirmed that the resistivity cross sections analyzed by M-GREATEM capture the features of the resistivity structure, and that this exploration method can measure a wide area quickly and conveniently.
