Gravity Survey in the Yokosuka City -Estimation of subsurface structures near the Active Faults in the Miura Peninsula-

Abstract
We conducted a high resolution gravity survey to reveal the subsurface structures of Miura Peninsula Active Fault Zone in the Yokosuka City. The fault zone, that constitute of the Kinugasa fault, the Kitatake fault and the Takeyama fault, have been a lot of investigation for reveal tectonics and geological feature. We can expect to reveal the detailed subsurface structure of the fault zone by conducting a gravity survey include the seismic reflection survey line in Yokosuka City by Kanagawa Pref. (2001). In this paper, 2-D with a reference density structure model, based on interpretation of basement layer by Kanagawa Pref.(2001), was analyzed by using a forward modeling method. As a result, we infer the existence of fold structures under the Kitatake fault and the Takeyama fault. In addition, we infer the basement structure subside under the splay fault of the Kitatake fault.
