Structural survey and seismic observation performed in Hokusetsu area (Part2)Local site effects evaluated by seismic data

Abstract
To evaluate characteristics of earthquake ground motions by complex subsurface structures (e.g. Horike, 1998: Uebayashi and Horike, 2002) in Hokusetsu area, Osaka, we installed temporary seismic observation stations in the Senri Hill, the Imogawa Lowland and the Hokusetsu Mountains. To investigate the validity of the basin structural model estimated in this area, in this report, we compared the site amplifications by seismic data to the site amplifications by 1-D analysis and 2-D simulations with the S-wave velocity structures estimated by Miyakoshi et al. (2017).
