A practice of structuring 3D model of geophysical properties for Construction Information Modeling/Management

Abstract
Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT), Japan is discussing implementation and promotion of Construction Information Modeling/Management (CIM). The committee was formed in 2016 and published the guidelines to implementing CIM in construction projects in March 2017. In the guidelines, geophysical methods are regarded as one of tools to build the model of geological or soil structure. We practiced structuring the 3D model of geophysical properties for the use in CIM and will report the workflow to build the 3D model of shallow geophysical properties as a case study.
