Estimation of shallow and deep soil models at strong motion stations in Eskisehir basin, Turkey


Abstract
We have explored 1D S-wave velocity profiles of shallow and deep soil layers over the basement at AFAD strong motion stations in Eskisehir, Turkey. Microtremor array explorations were conducted at eight strong motion stations to know shallow S-wave velocity models. Rayleigh wave phase velocity at a frequency range from 3 to 30 Hz was estimated. The phase velocity was inverted to a shallow S-wave velocity profile. Site amplification factors ofearthquake records estimated at the strong motion stations in Yamanaka et al. (2017) were used in the determination of the deep part of the S-wave profiles.
