Estimation of 2-D surface layers by waveform inversion using seismic refraction exploration data

Abstract
We estimated 2-D surface layers by a waveform inversion using data in seismic refraction exploration around the K-NET MYG004 station. The estimated S-wave velocity of surface soil layer was low toward a cliff side as similar to the result of Amrouche et al. (2014). We reconfirmed that the variation of near-surface S-wave velocity is one of the factors that makes amplification characteristics around this area locally different.
