Inspection of integrated geophysical exploration results by rock physics model

Abstract
We conducted integrated geophysical exploration in a transverse measurement line to compare with a trench excavation survey result for the removal work of an old sluiceway in a river embankment. We performed S wave tomography and resistivity tomography to obtain the S wave velocity and the resistivity cross sections, respectively. We estimated the soil classification applied the previously proposed 'safety evaluation section for river embankment' and the recently proposed ' rock physics model' based on the two physical quantities obtained from both of these cross sections. Moreover we compared the soil classification and a construction record of a river embankment obtained by the trench excavation survey in the embankment with the ' S wave velocity cross section', the ' resistivity section', the ' safety evaluation section for river embankment' and the ' rock physics model'.
