This paper describes the pore pressure prediction using seismic velocity data analysis based on Yan & Han method (2012) and is aimed to obtain the pore pressure prediction with a focus area in LN Field, Kutai Basin, Indonesia. The seismic velocity data was generated from finely sampled velocity analysis of 3D seismic data in the LN field. Prior to the data analysis, the calibration between seismic velocity and well velocity data is implemented by polynomial fitting due to the difference trend between both of the dataset. Seismic velocity data that have been calibrated are subsequently used as primary data input in pore pressure prediction. The high-grid density pore pressure prediction derived from seismic velocity is capable to provide more meticulous information about the subsurface conditions included drilling hazards mitigation and geopressure analysis in LN field, Kutai Basin. Keywords: pore pressure prediction, seismic velocity data, Yan & Han method.
