Abstract: To build a high resolution geological model in geothermal field, we applied advanced surface wave analysis to the multichannel seismic data. In this study, we aimed to improve the accuracy of surface wave phase velocity estimation for more accurate S-wave profiling by using the window controlled CMP crosscorrelation (CMPCC) method. To improve lateral resolution of phase velocity estimation, we applied spatial window to our CMPCC analysis. In this step, we could determine the suitable receiver spacing, keeping the accuracy of phase velocity estimation. As the result, we were able to obtain more reliable signal and remove scattered phase velocity near localized heterogeneous structure. We concluded that the window controlled CMPCC analysis could be successfully used to characterize lateral heterogeneity with high resolution in geothermal field.
