| | Abstract | | In the CCS project, which is conducted in the Gundih gas field in Central Java, Indonesia as a JST/JICA joint research project (SATREPS), we are studying monitoring technologies for injected CO2. In this project, micro-seismic observation in a shallow well, time-domain electromagnetic and gravity measurement using a continuous gravity meter will be tested. Target-oriented 3D seismic reflection and VSP in the injection well will be also attempted to develop cost-effective monitoring technologies for CCS. In this article, we describe the present status of the project in a stage of preparing CO2 injection, and the monitoring plan together with some baseline survey results. |
