Shallow seismic survey at the Kouzu-Matsuda fault zone

Abstract
We re-processed three seismic reflection data and conducted new seismic reflection surveys across the Kouzu-Matsuda fault. Re-processed sections show clear images of subsurface structure down to about 0.5s in two-way time. Most remarkable reflectors in the shallow part have good correlation with the boring data around there. Deeper reflectors beneath the Ashigara plain show eastward gentle dipping and this is cumulative activity of the Kouzu-Matsuda fault and tilting of the Chiyo terrace. Preliminary section of the new surveys is not clearly imaged at the western edge of the Chiyo terrace probably due to poor data quality.
