Improving land 2D data imaging by application of Full Waveform Inversion and Pre-Stack Depth Migration: Case study of land seismic 2D data acquired by vibrator source

Abstract
Refraction Travel-Time tomography is an effective method for acquiring velocity structure of subsurface but resolution is one of issues for the method. Recently, full waveform inversion (FWI) is widely used in seismic exploration because it can estimate high-resolution detailed velocity structure compared to tomography. However, because of high non-linearity of the method, most of applications are marine cases and land cases are limited. We applied FWI to land 2D data which is acquired by vibrator sources. There are some issues regarding to 2D land case such as lack of low frequencies, using different sources and receivers, crocked-line geometry etc. We show case study of FWI to such challenges.
