Geophysical exploration by cosmic ray muon using emulsion cloud chamber

Abstract
A conventional detector combining a scintillator and a photomultiplier tube has been used for geophysical exploration by cosmic ray muons. The three-dimensional visualization for the inner structure of the underground density and nuclear reactor was enabled by applying a three-dimensional geotomography technique as the past research results. However, the conventional detector has been expensive and needed the long measurement time to satisfy the spatial resolution and the accuracy of the density which require the exploration object. In contrast, emulsion cloud chamber marking the track of elementary particles has the following advantages
