Development of a well logging method of thermal conductivity using low cost tool (Part 2)

Abstract
We have already developed the tool of ground thermal conductivity measurement which was low cost specifications in composition with digital IC thermal sensors and heating cable, with operational manner inside small diameter boreholes, as of construction boring (2013). In this time, we newly produced 50 meters in length, 2 meter interval of thermal sensors and 22W/m heating ability of thermal line source. In a well TRT has already been performed, the experiment of our new system was carried out for comparison with our new system. Furthermore, in order to estimate thermal conductivity even from short data, we developed an analysis method according to the non-linear inversion using asymptotic solution of heat conduction equation. Thermal conductivities by our new system from the data within 12 hours after the start of heating were obtained substantially the same value as a result of the TRT. It has been shown to be effective in the evaluation of the effective thermal conductivity of soil.
