Evaluation experiments of real-time sampling GPR

Abstract
Real-Time Sampling for GPR, enabled by recent advances in high speed integrated circuit technology, has been now available. We introduced the new GPR system using Real-Time Sampling which was brought to market just in this spring, and carried out evaluation experiments. The system has a function called "hyperstacking" in which several hundreds of waveform data are stacked (averaged) in order to improve S/N ratio, consequently improve penetration depth. Although the deepest reflector at the experiment site is only 3m, we observed reflection waves with higher S/N ratio compared to those obtained by a conventional GPR. We intend to apply it to many sites having various ground conditions and deeper targets.
