Development of 3D inversion method for estimating Cole-Cole parameters from SIP data


Abstract
We present a series of 3D interpretation techniques for recovering important information associated with mineral deposits from spectral IP (SIP) data. We demonstrate using a synthetic example that the distributions of Cole-Cole model parameters can be recovered through complex-resistivity inversion of multi-frequency data and that removing the effect of electromagnetic (EM) coupling is essential in SIP surveys for mineral exploration.
