The site surveys for ocean drilling in Izu rear arc by multi-channel seismic reflection survey

Abstract
Multi-channel seismic reflection survey have been conducted in Izu rear arc region in order to evaluate the site characteristics for ocean drilling. Grid survey lines are planed along the bathymetoric feature. The seismic units interpreted by our profiles are consistent with the drilling results although some unit boundary is not recognized from the drilling core. We present the case study of site survey for ocean drilling around the volcanic arc.
