Case study of statistical assessment for the P-wave velocity of seismic refraction survey and velocity logging in the tunnel investigation


Abstract
The elastic wave velocity of the tunnel ground in a prior geological survey stage was compared with the elastic wave velocity from the logging at the advanced boring hole in the tunnel construction stage. The authors describe the result that analyzed a difference of the application range of each elastic wave velocity using Bayesian inference to perform a better tunnel ground classification for the tunnel design.
