Improvement of the Gravity database of Kanazawa University

Abstract
The gravity database of Kanazawa University contains over 20,000 gravity point data measured by Kanazawa University and has been available on a web site (Honda et al., 2012). However, the database included some points to be improved, which are caused by the improvement of locating using GPS, the improvement of digital elevation model, and a change of the geodetic reference system. We have, therefore, improved calculation programs and systems to cope with the above points. Our terrain correction routine has been modified to use the precision 10 m DEM as well. The modified terrain gravity correction improves the precision of the gravity database, especially on mountainous regions.
