The characteristic of data quality and practical issue of resistivity profile using Code Division Multiple Access technique

Abstract
For rapid resistivity and IP profile using simultaneous current injection at plural electrodes Code-Division Multiple-Access technique has a characteristic of signal enhancement equivalent to signal stacking by the number of code length. In this technique, we design current waveforms of regulated codes combination , +1 or -1 which means current polarity. To use more simultaneous current injection points, we need to use longer codes of current waveforms. It means that the more we use simultaneous current injection points, the more data qualities against random noise is improved. We also showed a practical issue of this technique that the instable current injection is possible to occur when we use some common electrodes for simultaneous injection and it causes considerable measurement error. Precise current intensity control during a set of injection control of is important meanwhile we can compensate this error to a certain extent.
