3-D simulation of fluid flow electromagnetic method considering subsurface fluid flow

Abstract
Fluid flow electromagnetic (FFEM) method is a geophysical monitoring method that observes electromagnetic field associated with subsurface fluid flow. This method can monitor dynamic behaviors of subsurface fluid such as petroleum and geothermal fluid. In order to interpret observed FFEM data and to develop data analysis method, numerical simulation program that can calculate electromagnetic field in 3-D both permeability and resistivity distribution is necessary. A new algorithm to calculate electromagnetic field associated with subsurface fluid flow is presented. Some examples of 3-D FFEM simulation are shown in this paper.
