| Abstract | In 2013, Japanese Regional Development Bureaus conducted countrywide inspection surveys of river-levee related facilities. GPR surveys were carried out quite often for the inspection surveys. The PWRI (Public Works Research Institute) inspected the GPR survey results and found that quality of the GPR survey results were not uniform, and some of them came short of the expected standard. As the request of the PWRI, the SEGJ (Society of Exploration Geophysicists of Japan) founded a committee to inspect the actual situation of GPR surveys and discuss how to keep the sufficient survey quality. The committee determined the recommendable "standard specifications" of GPR surveys for the inspections of river-levee related facilities and made a prototype database of GPR data acquired at river-levee related facilities. |
