Technical trends of combined analysis to geophysical surveys data based on Rock Physics

Abstract
As the geophysical exploration is not use effectively in the field of the engineering works and the construction, the problems on application, solution, and interpretation of the geophysical exploration had been studied at various committees of JGS, JSEG, and SEGJ. However, it is not still utilized effectively. As the interpretation due to the profiles analyzed by geophysical exploration is insufficient, it is necessary to improve the techniques for the evaluation of the geotechnical models from the geophysical profiles. Namely, in order to use the geophysical exploration effectively for a judgment of design and construction, we have to develop the techniques to build geotechnical models, for example, dynamic strength or hydraulic conductivity, from the geophysical profiles. In this report, the author summarized the survey results about the latest case studies to apply the combined analysis using plural geophysical surveys data based on Rock Physics for the construction of the geotechnical models.
