| | Abstract | | Frequency-domain airborne electromagnetic (AEM) data are influenced by both resistivity and magnetic susceptibility. Thus, if the susceptibility is not properly taken into account in the data interpretation, reliable resistivity models cannot be obtained for highly magnetic areas. We present a 3D inversion approach that simultaneously recovers resistivity and susceptibility from AEM data and examine its effectiveness using 2D synthetic examples. |
