| | Abstract | | In order to detect not only Rayleigh wave but also Love wave from horizontal microtremors, we applied the frquency-wavenumber spectral method by Saito(2007) to horizontal microtremor array records observed at the ground of Iwate University. As a result, phase velocities of Love wave were obtained from the transverse f-k analysis, and those of Rayleigh wave were obtained from radial f-k analysis. Observed phase velocities were in good agreement with theoretical ones calculated from bore-hole data. This result shows that the horizontal frequency-wavenumber spectral method by Saito(2007) is effective for detcting Love and Rayleigh waves from real observed horizontal records. |
