| | Abstract | | Non-open cut methods are sometimes used to install underground utilities for its short construction time and low cost compared with open cut methods. These methods are also used for soil improvement in earthquake strengthening and liquefaction prevention. The real time monitoring of drilling position is important to perform non-open cut method effectively. A measurement system to detect drilling position was developed for accurate horizontal drilling. The outline of the measurement system is described in this paper. |
