Microtrmoer Array Measurements at Takasu Area in Kochi City (Part 3)

Abstract
In order to enhance the accuracy of the phase velocity of the Rayleigh-wave estimated from the FK spectral method, we tested the Hankel spectra, defined as the azimuthal integral of the FK spectrum. Based on vertical components recorded from microtremor array measurements, we calculated the FK spectrum and determined the phase velocity from the peak wavenumber of the FK spectrum and the Hankel spectrum. Comparison of phase velocity results from both methods were in a good agreement with the theoretically calculated ones for most of frequencies. We also found that the Hankel spectra gave favorable results when the FK spectra resolved several peaks with different phase velocities.
