3D structure analysis of Iwaki area using gravity data.

Abstract
Three dimensional multi-layers subsurface structure of Iwaki district has been analyzed using gravity data and geological map data. The gravity stations add up to 1608, which were surveyed by high accuracy GPS survey. The geological map data are used to control surface condition of the subsurface structure. The result indicates that relief of the boundary between tertiary sediments and basement rocks such as Abukuma metamorphic rocks or granitic rocks, is controlled by NW-SE trending faults.
