| Abstract | Since the Great East Japan Earthquake, interest of residents to the ground is increasing. However, high resolution ground information spatially enough to be able to meet the interests of residents has not been developed. To develop such ground information, it is necessary that national and local governments cast huge cost. Therefore, the authors have been studying the possibility of residents own their own investigation, to get ground information. The technological development in recent years, microtremors observations is possible to respond to such needs. Therefore, the authors conducted two workshops which residents themselves practice microtremors observation. As a result, it was found that it is possible residents themselves to practice microtremors observations, and that such approaches increase the interest of residents with respect to ground. |
